The Westwood Conference Center is located
near the intersection of U.S. Highway 51 and
Bridge Street in Wausau.
From Highway 51 take exit 193 and head west
on Bridge Street. Turn right at Westwood
Drive and be prepared to turn right onto
Westwood Center Boulevard, almost
immediately. Keep right to follow roundabout
and turn right to enter. Visitor parking will be
on your left.

Who will inherit your woodlands? Usually when
we talk about forest succession we talk about
harvesting, regeneration and the next stand of
trees. But have you ever given thought about
who will succeed you as the steward of your
woodlands?
What will you learn?
Lawyers, estate planning professionals, financial
planning professionals, a certified public
accountant and UW-Extension specialists will
discuss estate planning tools and steps you can
take to get your estate “in order.”
Topic will include:

Death and taxes
 estate and gift taxes
What is estate planning?
Estate planning involves not only the disposition
of property at death but the wise accumulation,
use and preservation of assets during life. The
goal of this workshop is to help you find the best
possible methods to meet your needs and wishes
while minimizing costs due to mistakes caused
by indecision or lack of good information to
make those decisions.
Who should attend?
Woodland owners, family members, foresters,
timber professionals and anyone else interested
in learning about the tools and professionals to
help you get your estate in order and prepare for
an orderly transition of assets from one
generation to the next will benefit.
How much will it cost?
The cost to attend the workshop is $55 per
person or $100 for a couple. Families are
encouraged to attend. The cost for the first
person is $55 and each additional member will
be $45. Couples and family registrations will
receive only one set of written materials.
