Suspension of the Sport Administration Program
At its meeting 3-3-11, the faculty senate approved the Department of Exercise & Sport Science
request to suspend the Sport Administration Program (Masters Degree).
As you know, two years ago the department decided to discontinue the program and to move
staff resources (1.5 FTE) into the undergraduate Sport Management program. In approving this
request, the senate understands the department will continue to service the students presently in
the program until they all graduate. For your convenience, I’ve included a copy of the rationale
for the suspension of the program.
