A Purdue rule requires presidents to retire at 65. Jischke turns 65 on Monday, said university spokesman Joe Bennett. Jischke, president at Purdue since August 2000, noted that the school is set to complete a long-term strategic plan and recently completed the largest fundraising campaign in its history. Jischke went to Purdue from ISU, where he had been president for 10 years
