AMERICAN MEDICAL
TECHNOLOGISTS (AMT)
Student Scholarship
*Applicant must be a graduate of, or a senior in, an
accredited high school (G.E.D., is also acceptable).
*Applicant must be enrolled in a school accredited
by an accrediting agency recognized by the US
Department of Education.
*Applicant’s course of study MUST lead to a
career in one of the disciplines certified by the
American Medical Technologists
*Applicants pursuing careers other than those
certified by the AMT will not be accepted
*Application must be typed to be considered
*Applicant must provide evidence of career goal
*The award may only be used to defray tuition
costs, and will be sent directly to the school of the
recipient’s choice.
Outstanding Student
*Nomination by the program director or instructor
*For the student who stands out above the rest...the
type of student who always makes it to class, who
participates in discussions, and who is always
willing to put forth extra effort when called upon
*The nominee must have been an enrolled student
during June 1, 2014 through July 1, 2015 in a
program of the same category as his/her
nomination.
Technical Writing Awards
*For students who enjoy writing & would like to
submit a research paper pertinent to their field of
study
*Student must be enrolled in an accredited program
leading to eligibility for AMT certification.
Programs include Dental Assistant, Medical
Assistant, Medical Administrative Specialist,
Medical Laboratory Assistant, Medical Laboratory
Technician, Medical Technologist, and Phlebotomy
Technician.
*Only Junior or Senior Medical Technology
students are eligible
* Give your completed applications to Dr. Sue
Raab for a statement of support and signature.
ASCP Scholarship:
*Must be an ASCP student member, enrolled in a
NAACLS accredited program in the final clinical
year of one of the following programs: Cyto, Histo,
Med Lab Tech/Clin Lab Tech, Med Lab Scientist/
Med Techt/Clin Lab Scientist
*Must be a U.S. citizen/permanent resident
*Must have a minimum of a 2.8 GPA on a 4.0 scale
Siemens Healthcare Legacy:
*Must be an ASCP student member, enrolled in a
NAACLS accredited program and be the final year
of education by the application close date
*Must be the child, grandchild, sibling, niece or
nephew of certified MT/CLS/MLS or MLT/CLT

Bob Gay Cytotechnology Scholarship
•Must be a member of the American Society for
Cytotechnology (ASCT) at the time of application.
•Currently enrolled in good standing in an
accredited U.S. school of Cytotechnology for at
least 6 mths.
•Overall GPA of at least 3.0. Determined by
officially sealed transcript from cytotechnology
program.
•Open to certificate, bachelors, and graduate degree
seeking students.
•Recipient is not eligible to apply again.
Warren R. Lang Student Awards
Each year at the ASCT Annual Scientific
Conference, all currently enrolled cytology students
are invited to present an interesting case. The
ASCT/Warren R. Lang Student Awards are
presented to the students with the best interesting
case presentations.

•Must be a cancer patient, cancer survivor and/or
amputee.
*Student must currently be enrolled in a NAACLS
accredited MLS/MLT program.
*Student GPA must be 2.5 or better.
*The Community Foundation of Central Wisconsin
awards over 120 scholarships to students every year
for educational financial support. Most of the
scholarship funds have been established as
endowments, so students will continue to benefit
long after the donor's lifetime
*Each scholarship may have its own eligibility
requirements and criteria
*Many scholarships are limited to residents of
specific counties or graduates of specific high
schools.
*The Eric Delson Memorial Scholarship is intended
for college, vocational or private school students
that are clinically diagnosed with hemophilia or von
Willebrand disease.
*Medical and dental students (in human medicine)
who have completed their first year of an accredited
medical/dental school are eligible to apply.
Students in pre-med courses are not eligible.
*Students studying in a college or university
accredited in the fields of pharmacy, occupational
therapy, physical therapy, speech and language
therapy, and medical technologies who have
completed a minimum of two years of study are
eligible to apply. Priority is given to students who
are working on their Master's or Doctorate Degrees
when those degrees are required for certification.
*Students studying to become registered nurses
with an Associate's Degree must have completed at
least their first year of study at an accredited
institution. Those pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's
Degree in Nursing must have completed two years
of study.

*Is living and studying in the United States or
Canada for the entire course of study;
*Has had at least 24 consecutive months as a nonstudent sometime in her adult life;
*Is within 24 consecutive months of completing her
educational program which, at the conclusion of,
will lead to employment or job advancement. Will
complete program of education within 24 months
after the beginning date of the term for which the
grant is requested.
*Applicant must be a current/former registered
VOLUNTEEN/VOLUNTEER or current
EMPLOYEE of Ministry St. Joseph’s Hospital in
Marshfield, Wisconsin.
*Applicants must be enrolled or enrolling in a
program of higher education.
*Scholarship funds must be spent on tuition.
*Financial need is considered but not mandatory.
* A student is eligible to receive a Partners
Scholarship twice.
