OT Program. It is recommended that applicants have at least 50 hours of experience with an occupational therapist prior to application. This experience should ideally occur in at least two different practice settings. Consideration is given to both the number of hours spent in OT and related settings, as well as the variety of experiences that have been completed. It is a good idea to keep a log of your hours, activities and reactions to refer to when you apply.
