Letter of Application (limited to ONE page only.)
Letter of Recommendation from a UWSP Academic Advisor or Faculty Member**

Abbreviated Résumé (limited to ONE page only.)
*To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must be accepted to an international service learning project
approved by the UWSP Office of International Education or a UWSP College. Verification of acceptance can be in
the form of an Acceptance Letter from the Office of International Education for one of its programs or, in the case
of a project administered or approved by a UWSP College, acceptance documentation from the appropriate college
official.
**You are responsible for verifying the letter of recommendation was received by the application deadline.

DEADLINE: Applications must be submitted by April 8, 2016. Finalists will be contacted in late April to
schedule personal interviews – before the final award decision is made. Selection of final award recipient will be
announced on or near May 6, 2016.
Incomplete applications will not be reviewed.

Advice for your Letter of Application
In your letter of application, explain why you have chosen an international service learning experience as opposed to another study abroad
experience, what you hope to gain through the experience, and how you would most benefit from receiving this scholarship. The
statement must be no more than two typewritten pages. The scholarship committee already assumes that you want to expand your horizons,
become a better world-citizen, and that you may love travel. These are all wonderful reasons to study abroad, but they are values held by ALL who
apply.
