3.2.1 Status Report for UPDM and SysML harvest DIS ballots.
3.2.2 ISO TC184 / SC02 – ROBOTICS -.
IEC/Standardization Management Board/Strategic Group 7, Electrotechnical Applications
of Robotic Technologies was set up at SMB meeting 148, in October 2013
It includes activities from
IEC TC 61 Safety of household and similar electrical appliances
IEC TC 59 Performance of household and similar electrical appliances
IEC TC 59 Performance of household and similar electrical appliances
They have also invited ISO TC184/SC02/WG08 Convenor as a liaison representative to
this group.
TC184/SC02 is discussing establishing a new WG for Modularity for Service Robots.
OMG has RTC and also has an RFP process on Unified Component Model in Progress
(with support from Robotics DTF), which is relevant to this activity.
If this new WG is established, the OMG needs to establish a liaison relationship with the
WG, to ensure that their roadmap reflects the existence of Relevant OMG specifications
for Robotics Modularity.
