HIGHLIGHTS OF PAST PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Distance Education Coordinator: Rowan-Cabarrus Community College, 2005-2011
 Supported distance education delivery methods via system administration, developed and
maintained student and faculty resources, and created and conducted faculty training programs.
In 2005, the college offered 75 internet classes, and was poised to soon offer one to three 100%
online degrees. At the time I transitioned out of this role, the college was offering over 230 online
classes, six degrees online, and all traditional courses were provided a “Web-Enhanced,”
component, offering an online resource for faculty and students.
 With department leadership support, created the My Learning Community Blackboard Consortia,
strategically moving the college from a self-hosted learning management system environment to
an enterprise, manage-hosted system. This allowed for platform growth and access to superior
technical expertise, offering enhanced features and services to students and faculty alike.
 Managed a number of high impact organizational initiatives such as; partner plug-ins for feature
enhancement, the Web-Enhanced course model, successful implementation of system upgrades,
development of the college’s online quality course design initiative, faculty certification standards,
and created the course templates that are the foundation for the college’s best practices for webbased course content.

 Accomplishments include: Assumed a financial services account with 20-30% of a client’s volume
and became the client’s exclusive vendor within 18 months, captured significant competitor
market share from competitors based upon quality and performance ratings on numerous
occasions, grew a number of test programs into long-term accounts, and managed the
organizations first non-profit and first controlled publishing client relationships.
