SHELTON STATE TO HOST NAVY BAND FOR TWO SHOWS
TUSCALOOSA – Shelton State Community College will host the Navy Band Southeast’s
Contemporary Entertainment Ensemble, Pride, for two shows on May 7, 2010, in the Bean-Brown
Theatre on the College’s Martin Campus, 9500 Old Greensboro Road.
The band will be in town in conjunction with the Blue Angels Air Show, May 8-9. Concert times will
be at 10:45 a.m. and 1 p.m. Admission is free to both concerts.
Navy Band Southeast’s Contemporary Entertainment Ensemble, Pride, is a high-energy unit with a
repertoire of hits spanning 50 years, making it an ideal group for military balls, official receptions, and
public concerts. The ensemble remains on the cutting edge of today's popular music scene by choosing
a variety of selections each year from current Top 40 charts. Their incredible mix of pop, rhythm and
blues, classic rock, modern rock, dance, Motown, soul, hip-hop, swing, country, and disco makes them
a sure hit for diverse audiences and age groups.
