Thank you for your letter of April 5,2010, providing requested information concerning the
Huntsville, Alabama, site where students may earn 100% of the EMT-Basic Certificate and less
than 50% of the credits in the A.A.S. Paramedic degree program. In addition, information was
provided for plans to offer ART and VCM courses at a location in Decatur, Alabama, effective
January 2012.

Course descriptions were included as requested. We approve the site where l00oh of the
workforce development certificate program is offered.
Students may earn less than 50% of the credits required for the A.A. S. paramedic degree
program at this site. We accept notification of the site where students may earn less
than
50o of the A-A.S. Paramedic program and request no further information. The College is
reminded that should students become able to earn 50% or more of the credits in an ed.ucational
program at this site, notification is required six months prior to implementation with prospectus
a
for approval to be submitted at least three months prior to implementation.

The College plans to offer ART and VCM courses at this location in conjunction with the City of
Decatur and Athens State University effective January2012. Theplan is dependent on several
factors. The College is reminded that if students will be able to earn less than 25% of a program
at this location, no notification will be necessary. If they can earn 25-49oA, notification only will
be required. If they can eam 5A% or more, notificaticn should be prcvided six rncnths in
advance of implementation with a prospectus for approval of the site due at least three months in
advance of implementation.
