Geometry A Lesson Plan for Week September 24-Sept. 28 Monday 9/24: and 9/25 Unit Title: Completing Chapter 7 on Rigid Transformation. Learning target: I can apply transformations ( reflection, translation, and rotation) by making a tessellation. Formative assessment; observations as students complete the assignment. Summative assessment is given by the grading rubric. Strategies: teacher will explain, instruct and model how to design a tessellation. Activities. The students will design a tessellation. Wednesday: 9/26 Begin Chapter 4 about congruent triangles. Learning Target: I can classify triangles by their sides and angles. I can find angle measures in triangles. Formative assessment will be may on classwork, group work and observations. Summative assessment will be section tests followed by a chapter test. For lesson 4.1 , the teacher will teach the lesson by power point, modeling and questioning. Students will model the examples, work in groups for class work, work independently, and take a chapter test for summative assessment. Students with IEP will work ¾ of the problems. Thursday 9/27 students will review previous work. Do bell work on ACT related materials, work a worksheet and problems from the text. Friday 9/28 Learning target I can identify congruent figures and corresponding parts. I can prove that two triangles are cojngruent.
