Proposed work is well thought-out, described clearly, and the writing is good. We
could use this proposal as an example for others. It appears likely that RoseHulman would be proud to show the poster resulting from this project on our
website, even if the project does not meet all of its stated objectives.
Proposal is strong but not excellent. Examples of this would be if
(a) the proposal leaves some questions in the reviewer’s mind about the
thoughtfulness of the project plan; or
(b) the proposal does not describe the work particularly clearly, although it appears
to be reasonable; or
(c) the proposal makes sense but the writing is weak in a few areas.
Proposal is reasonable, but the reviewer is left with enough concerns about the
project that a “Good” rating is not appropriate. For example, perhaps the proposal
does not appear to be well thought-out and it is not described clearly. Another
example would be if the writing is quite poor throughout.
The proposed work is unlikely to result in presentable results by the End of Quarter
Symposium. For example, perhaps the scope of the project is so broad that it is
unlikely that anything will be accomplished within a quarter. Another example
would be if the proposed work contains obvious flaws in planning and the project
objectives are unclear.

the proposals are limited to two pages. It is clear what is to be purchased and why
it is necessary for the completion of the project. (Nevertheless, we do not need to
be at the part # level here, because that may need to be determined as part of the
project.)
