German Interdisciplinary Major
Why study German?
Germany is the
world’s largest
exporter.
Speaking and
understanding German
will deepen your
knowledge of the
culture and improve
your employment opportunities.
Most commonly used language on the Internet after
English.
More than 750 U.S. companies do business in Germany.
German is no harder to learn to speak and write than
other languages.
Learn German in Austria
KU offers an exciting opportunity to study German in
Austria for three weeks during the summer. Based in a
small village just south of Innsbruck, you can also visit
Salzburg, Munich, the famous Neuschwanstein castle and
much more! (Pending Council approval, expected Jan. 2007)
