RHIT EMPLOYEE DIRECTORY
Objectives
 Learn how to locate and search for faculty, staff, alumni, students, parents, retirees,
friends of the institute, and organizations affiliated with Rose-Hulman.
 Submit updated information for individuals or organizations
Accessing the Directory:
1. Go to www.rose-hulman.edu > Select Intranet in the top-right corner
2. Select Banner Web in the Daily Tools menu
 You may be prompted to enter your Username and Windows Password. Once
entered, click Login.
3. Select the RHIT Apps tab and choose RHIT Directory
 The first time you access the directory, you will need to read and agree to the RoseHulman Terms of Use to continue.

Completing a Search
4. Enter your Search Criteria, which can include the following:




PERSON TYPE (required): Select a Person Type (Employee, Retiree, Trustee, etc). The
Person Type fields describe the relationship the individual has with Rose-Hulman. “All” is
selected by default, but you may select specific person types when searching.
NAME: Enter the full or partial name of an individual or organization.
DEPARTMENT:
 When looking for alumni, students, faculty, and staff associated with an academic
department, you will want to use the “Academic Department” drop down list to narrow
your results.
 When looking for employees of specific work areas, use the “Employee Work Area”
drop down list to narrow your results.
BANNER ID: You can also search for an individual using their Banner ID.
5. Once you’ve defined the search criteria, click Search.
 If your search does not yield any results and you believe the individual or
organization should be in the directory, scroll to the bottom of the page and click
“here” to complete the information form.

This will help Institutional Advancement learn as much as you know about this
individual or organization. When complete, press Save and an email is sent to
Institutional Advancement, who will then facilitate updating the directory.
 To perform a new search click the “Reset” button in the search fields section of the
form to clear your previously selected information.
 When multiple pages of results are returned, scroll to the bottom of the page and
choose “Next” to page through results.

PERSON PROFILE INFORMATION
The profile information displayed for alumni, parents, trustees, and friends of the Institute
includes:






Contact information
Degree information
RHIT activities
Marital status
Children who are either attending or have graduated from Rose-Hulman
Employment information.
 Please pay attention to the Exclusions field. If “Do Not Contact” displays, the individual
has requested NOT to be contacted by Rose-Hulman.
 The Rose-Hulman logo in the top-right corner indicates the individual is a Rose-Hulman
alumnus

To submit updated information for Trustees, Friends of the Institute, Parents, Alumni, and
Organizations (available to Administrative, Faculty, and Campaign Volunteers only):
1. Click Request Data Update
2. Update and/or correct the information and press Save. Institutional Advancement will be
notified automatically.
ORGANIZATION PROFILE INFORMATION
The profile information displayed for Organizations includes:


Address/Contact information
A listing of Alumni Employees
To update the Alumni Employee listing:
1. Click Request Data Update
2. Enter changes in the Comments field and press Save

To view or update an Alumni Employee profile from this view:
1. Click on the Alumni Employee’s name to open their profile.
2. Click Request Data Update, make the necessary changes, and press Save.
 Select Return to Search Results to return to the organization search results.
