Specialisation: Medieval Indian History
Dr M. Siraj Anwar is working as an Associate Professor of History in National Council of
Educational Research and Training (NCERT), New Delhi, India.
Before joining NCERT, he has taught on ad-hoc basis at Centre of Advanced Studies,
Department of History, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh from where he obtained his M.Phil.
and Ph. D. degrees. He also taught history and social science education to the students of Fouryear B.A.B.Ed. and Two-year B.Ed. (Secondary) at Regional Institute of Education (NCERT),
Bhopal. He is currently posted in Planning and Monitoring Division of NCERT, New Delhi.
He has authored a book ‘Mughals and the Deccan: Political Relations with Ahmadnagar
Kingdom’ (2007: New Delhi). He also co-edited ‘Annotated Bibliography on Value Education in
India’ (2002: NCERT, New Delhi). Some of his research papers and articles published in various

to be published in a Volume being brought by Sarojini Naidu Govt. Girls College, Bhopal.
He was also associated in the development of a training package ‘Educational Planning,
Management and Evaluation’ and ‘Framework and Networking System for Formulation,
Implementation, Monitoring and Evaluation of Educational Programmes in North-Eastern States’
developed by PPMED, NCERT.
