Cleaning of carpets with vacuum cleaner to be provided by the Agency. Filling of water in room cooler (about 55) in summer season, air conditioners (50) and serving of water to staff members up to 300(as often as decided by the Council or the designated officer). In case of shortage of water or non-availability of water, bringing water from the basement or from outside for cleaning as well as drinking purpose. Cleaning of blinds with wet cloths. Sweeping and cleaning of open areas, roads, passage, lawns etc. within the boundary of the council’s wall surrounding to this building. Regular dusting cleaning of office furniture(tables and chairs) and equipment, telephones, bookcases, library books, filling cabinets, almirahs etc, before opening of the office i.e. 9.00 AM Provision of lifebuoy soap and liquid soap in the toilets and placing sufficient quantity of naphthalene balls and odonil cakes in the urinals. The contractor will ensure that the soap piece mentioned above will always be made available near each washbasin in the building. 11. 12. To arrange labour for taking stationery/furniture from ground floor to other floors and to shift official material from one room to another room of Chacha Nehru Bhawan and other buildings in the campus. STAFF REQUIREMENT:THEIR DUTIES:BEHAVIOUR ETC. A. B. C. D. E. F. G. H. I. J. K. L. Agency’s staff workers shall wear an ID badge issued by agency, counter stamped by CIET. The Agency shall comply with all the laws and regulations applicable in the matter of such workers. The Agency’s staff workers shall be polite, courteous, well behaved and honest. The Agency’s staff workers shall not disturb the employee of the Council or making any noise in the premise or rooms. The Agency shall be fully responsible for any theft, burglary fire or any other mischievous deed done by its workers. The antecedents of all workers will be got verified from police by the agency before deployment for work. The agency’s workers shall not enter into any unlawful activity within the council premises and shall have good moral character. The Council shall have the right to impose cash penalty on the agency or deduct such amount from its security deposit in case Council being put on any financial loss directly or indirectly by any act or omission on the part of the agency’s workers. (i) The agency shall be directly responsible for the wages. Provident fund, bonus incl.EPF & ESI or any other benefits as may be available to its employee under relevant acts and regulations applicable in the Union Territory of Delhi. The Council shall not entertain any such claim of the persons employed by the contractor. (ii) The contractor should satistisfy the CIET with documentary proof/evidence about the payment made to the workers employed by him in CIET premises for which the reimbursement claims are preferred. Insurance and accidents risks of the workers will be the responsibility of the agency. All the workers of the agency shall be free from infections disease. The Council reserve the right to order any worker of the agency to leave the premises of the Council if his presence at any time is found to be undesirable. GENERAL CONDITIONS A. AGREEMENT : For one year initially which will be extendable for one more year with the consent of both parties. B.TERMS OF PAYMENT : The Council shall pay the agreed amount to the agency on monthly basis after completion of the month and submission of a certificate authority of the Council”that the work has been done satisfactorily, countersigned by the official designated by CIET “. A. ROOM FACILITY : The Council shall provide a room, Space for supervisor and storage of material etc. to the agency free of cost. NOTICE OF TERMINATION OF CONTRACT The contract can be terminated by either party by giving one month’s notice in writing. STOCK AND SUPPLIES : 1. 2. 3. The agency shall maintain sufficient stock of various items such as soaps, phenyl, detergent, odonil, naphthalene balls, etc. soaps to meet normal requirement. The agency shall not be permitted to stop supplying any item for any reason. The Agency will ensure that proper license/ permission from the concerned authorities, wherever applicable are obtained promptly. The Agency shall in no case get the services it is required to perform under this agreement to any other agency or persons without prior permission from the Council in writing. SUPERVISION / INSPECTION : 1. The agency shall authorize a person to supervise the cleaning and maintenance service who will report to the General Section or any other office of the CIET so authorized as and when he is required to do so by the CIET. 2. The Agency shall allow regular inspection and checking of raw material at all stages i.e. cleaning, maintenances, uniforms and all other things by persons authorized by the CIET 3. The agency shall maintain attendance register and allow spot inspection of work and attendance by CIET. ARBITRATION In case of any dispute between the Agency and the Council arising out of or in relation to the agreement the dispute shall be referred for arbitration to a sole Arbitrator to be appointed by the Director of the Council and the decision of such Arbitrator shall be conclusive and binding on both the parties. The arbitration shall be governed by the provisions of the Indian Arbitration & Conciliation Act. PENALITY i) ii) In case, the work of the contractor is not found satisfactory, the contractor will be penalized with the amount equal to material. In case, the contractor does not follow the rules of Govt. of NCT of Delhi relating to EPF & ESI, the amount equal to EPF & ESI will not be paid to the firm. JURISDICTION The courts of Delhi will have jurisdiction over all legal disputes under this agreement. RECEIPT OF TENDER FORM EARNEST MONEY/ SUBMISSION OF TENDER FORM : 1.
