Download the mathematics TEKS in English and
in Spanish, and get information about the history,
development, and structure of the TEKS.

Download Dana Center resources needed to teach
the K–12 mathematics TEKS for student success
on the Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills
(TAKS), including clarifications of the TEKS by grade
level and course (activities, lessons, assessments)
and samples of scope-and-sequence documents.
Instructional Support

materials, and tools for instructional materials

Due to the state adoption of the revised mathematics TEKS in
2005, the Mathematics TEKS Toolkit and many of its resources
are being updated.

instructional resources as they are developed. Use the Toolkit
to prepare to implement the revised secondary TEKS in your
classrooms in Fall 2006.

The Mathematics TEKS Toolkit has the
resources you need to help develop and
sustain a TEKS-based mathematics program in
your district, school, and classroom.
The Toolkit provides materials for developing,
aligning, implementing, and evaluating
mathematics programs. It also provides other
resources that support you as you rethink
and transform your mathematics education
programs to ensure equity and access to
important mathematics for all your students.
The mathematics Texas Essential Knowledge
and Skills (TEKS) were developed by the state
of Texas to clarify what all students should know
and be able to do in mathematics in kindergarten
through grade 12. The mathematics TEKS also form
the objectives and student expectations for the
mathematics portion of the Texas Assessment of
Knowledge and Skills (TAKS) for grades 3 through
10 and for the grade 11 exit-level assessment.
Watch for major changes in Toolkit content
in 2006 as resources are updated to meet
the new mathematics TEKS.
