OFFICE & STAFF ACCOMPLISHMENTS - Dr. McConnell recognized in Annual Excellence in Diversity Award as the 2013 Faculty Member of the Year - OSD hired a replacement (Lisa Laird) for a staff member who retired. - Staff attended an Autism Workshop on campus. - Staff represented EUP at a number of local High School transitions fairs. - Staff presented at the Student Affairs PASSHE Conference at EUP. - OSD recognized as receiving the largest grant award - OSD recognized as submitting the most grant applications OSD INTERNS The Occupational Therapist provided an internship for a Gannon University OT intern. STUDENT EMPLOYMENT *some students were employed in multiple positions Academic Aides/Homework Aides/ Meal Aides/ Student Secretaries Fall 2012 – 60 students worked approximately 6,674 hours Spring 2013 – 50 students worked approximately 5,650 hours Peer Advisors Fall 2012 – 47 students worked approximately 2,524 hours Spring 2013 – 38 students worked approximately 1,968 hours OSD STUDENT INFORMATION & ACCOMPLISHMENTS NEW PROSPECTIVE & CURRENT STUDENTS The OSD was contacted by approximately 203 current and prospective students regarding disability related services for the 2012-2013 Academic year. DELTA ALPHA PI 21 students and 2 OSD staff members were inducted into the Delta Alpha Phi Honor Society for students with disabilities on March 26, 2013. SCHOLARSHIPS Charlotte Newcombe Scholarship - 2012-2013 - $35,950.00 in awards were given to 25 students - 2013-2014 – The Office for Students with Disabilities at Edinboro University will receive $40,000.00 in scholarship funds for the 2013-2014 Academic Year.
