POLICY ON TRANSFER CREDITS AND THE
B.A. IN CRIMINAL JUSTICE
The following requirements and guidelines apply to students who
transfer to Edinboro University to complete a Bachelor of Arts
degree in criminal justice:
1. Last 30 credits at Edinboro University. Transfer students must
complete, at a minimum, their last 30 credits at Edinboro University.
2. Minimum number of major-specific credits at Edinboro. Of
the 51 semester hours that a student must take to earn a B.A. in
criminal justice, a minimum of 30 semester hours must be taken
through Edinboro University. No more than six credits from CRIM
395, Internship in Criminal Justice, can count toward this 30
semester hour minimum.
3. CRIM500. Students must take CRIM500, Seminar in Criminal
Justice, through Edinboro University.
4. Community college internship credits. Academic credit earned
at another college or university for an internship will transfer as
OPEN199 or OPEN299 and may be used to satisfy “open electives”
requirements.
5. Minimum grade for transfer credits. In order for courses to
Transfer as CRIM199 or CRIM299, a student must have earned a
grade of C or better.
NOTE: Students must earn a grade of C or better in all courses
taken to fulfill the requirements of the Criminal Justice major,
including POLI201, SOC100, and MATH260.
