The Board President, M r . Joseph G . Stewart, called the meeting to order at 8:04 p . m .
The meeting was convened at the Ramada Inn due to an electrical power failure at the regular

meeting place of the Board at the Central O f f i c e of the District.

I REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Minimum of two (2) years of college,
including laboratory courses, such as chemistry,
physics, or biology. One (1) year of experience
as a student laboratory helper.
Knowledge: Knowledge of the common types of Laboratory

During the summer assists in reconditioning building
inter ior--c.:st ing , washing and waxini, as assigned.
Performs related duties as required.
; Education: Completion of eight school grades. High
School graduation preferred. Two years work experience; preferably in cleaning duties.

The f o l l o w i n g graph shows thar as hours of computer usage grows, we w i l l
undoubtedly be increasing the number of terminals. Af- McDonnell each teiminal
(separate p l u g - i n ) increases fixed cost by S250.00 a month.
This graph shows that as our usage is l o w , the cost comparison favors Washington
U n i v e r s i t y . During our first y e a r , McDonnell estimated we would use 1 .388 hours per
month for three terminals .Using these figures, the cost comparison continues to favor
Washington U n i v e i s i t y .

1. The University's IBM Model 360, Series 50 Computer, shall

the Remote Access Computing System (hereinafter called "RACS"),

or such functional software improvements as made available by the
manufacturer (IBM), which would improve the capabilities of such a
terminal system, between the hours of 9:00 A.M. and 12:00 A.M.,
and 7:00 P.M. to 10:00 P.M. five days a week.
Other time periods
for said cc-puting services may be scheduled; provided however,
that 24-hcurs notice shall be given to the University computing
facilities operating staff prior to any such scheduling and only
on an "if available" basis.

During the time period specified in paragraph 1, JCD
shall have remote access through the use of its terminals to the
computational capabilities of the IBM Model 360, Series 50 Computer
for instructional and other purposes using the FORTRAN Programming
Language.
Any other programs or problems using other language
systems m=y be transmitted over the JCD terminals or delivered to
the terminal facilities by courier and will be saved and processed
in batch-rrdes within 24 hours after delivery to the computer
facilities.
These other programs shall no
be processed on line
under RACS.

RACS usir.^ FORTRAN will be assigned high priority to assure minimum time between completion of transmission and computer return

of information and execution of any project.
JCD agrees to place
a one-mir.ute time maximum on each, job card or project request that.
utilizes FORTRAN under RACS in order that any use of the computer
in excess of one minute shall be automatically terminated.

SCD agrees to pay for said computer services on the basis
