CMS FALL SEMESTER DATES: September 12 through December 10
LOCATIONS – The Alexander Music Center on the Edinboro University campus and, in Erie, at the
Porreco College campus, 2951 West 38th Street. Some offerings are specific to location. Please call
732-1357 to verify on which campus your specific instrument is taught. PARKING – There is ample
parking available on both campuses; no sticker is required between May 11 and August 27.

PRIVATE LESSONS in all of the listed instruments are available in 30, 45 and 60-minute
increments. Select the size and scheduling of your own lesson “package” in consultation with your
teacher. Rates: Student teacher (s) and (G) recent graduate instructor rates are $15.00/half hour; all
other lesson rates vary according to the instructor. To confirm rates for specific teachers, please phone

THREE consecutive Tuesdays, 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. The fee is $50.00 and all materials will be
provided. Please do not bring a violin. Instructor: Maria Lyon. Choose from:
Session I – June 14, 21, 28
Session II – July 5, 12, 19
Session III – August 2, 9, 16
SUZUKI VIOLIN and THEORY GROUP CLASS - (at Porreco) for current or previously enrolled
Suzuki violin students. Meets 3:00 – 4:50 p.m. each Monday, June 6 through August 15th, except for
Monday, July 4th. Fee: $180.00, (plus materials) allows the student to attend any or all ten classes.
Please call the office for more information. Private Suzuki violin lessons are available upon request.
PAYMENT SCHEDULE
Please pay your TUITION and REGISTRATION FEE by the day of your first lesson or class. If you
need a payment plan, please contact the office (732-1357) – a small fee will be charged. We regret that
no scholarship assistance is available for summer lessons. The summer registration fee is $5 per
individual or family. (Only one $5 registration fee per family.)
OPEN ENROLLMENT - ages 5 through 105
We accept new students for private lesson instruction at any time, subject to teacher availability.

We gladly accept gifts to the scholarship fund. If you wish to make a tax-deductible contribution to the
scholarship fund, or wish to sponsor a specific student, please make your check payable to: Edinboro
University Foundation, and note on the memo: Community Music School Fund. Please send it to the
