Roll Call – Present: Pam Bowman, Jim Buffalo, Carla Farniok, Tammy Fretueg , Rich Hamilton, Bill Rupert, Kim Sedgwick ,Peter Skrypkun, Wendi Mattson, Excused: Suzanne Boussard, Hilary Churchill, Kathy Clauson, Chris Brown, Julie DeWeese, Tishly Herrington , Cindy Roon, Linda Wade II. Minutes (Wendi Mattson) – Minutes from December – motion by Jim and seconded by Carla to approve the December minutes. III. Treasurer’s Report (Carla Farniok) – Attached. IV. President’s Report (Bill Rupert) – Bill reported he had been to an Advisory Group meeting. The state is current on FY 11 money and at that time still owed $26 million on FY 12. V. Civil Service Employee of the Month (Wendi Mattson)- Wendi reported that the January Employee of the Month is Holly Fecht from the Foundation and Development Office. Her presentation will be on January 12 at 10:00 am. VI. Vice President for Administrative Services Report (Julie DeWeese) – No report. VII. Director of Human Resources (Pam Bowman) - Pam reported that the System office audit will be held February 21- 24 to make sure we are administering correctly. Positions will be reviewed on campus. VIII. Employee Advisory Committee Rep (Peter Skrypkun) -–Peter reported that his next meeting will be January 12 and 13, 2012. IX. WIU Quad Cities Campus Report (Chris Brown) – No report. X. Representative Reports to Council a. Affirmative Action Internship (Tishly Herrington) – No Report. b. Web Page and IT Issues (Jim Buffalo)- Jim reported that as of yet a meeting with Scott has not taken place. c. Microsoft is adopting the policy that you are forced to get up dates. He has a phone call into Kathy Barnett asking what meeting would be best for him to attend. May be that he attends meetings on a rotating basis, otherwise he would have a meeting each week. e. University Diversity Council – (Tishly Herrington)- no report. XI. Committee Reports a. Policy and Appeals (Bill Rupert/Suzanne Boussard)- No report. b. Award Selection (Cindy Roon): No report. Bill reported that Hilary will need to attend the meetings as previously discussed. This will be in the event she needs to vote, she will be well informed on the candidates. This is necessary as Cindy’s daughter is applying for an award. Bill will talk to Cindy to find out when they are meeting and let Hilary know. It was also discussed on how to make people more aware of the CSEC awards. Wendi will look into a facebook page and a UTV advertisement. Telestars was also mentioned. Rich reported that as of yet there has been no progress on getting the email groups. c. Constitution/Election (Jim Buffalo)- Reading of change. d. Education (Hilary Churchill)- No report. e. Social Events & Development (Hilary Churchill)- no report. XII. Old Business – a. We are still in need of someone to take Tishly’s place to go to meetings while she is gone on maternity leave. XIII.
