I am writing to respond to your FOI request received by Human Resources on the
January 2016. Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has
responded to your request within the boundaries of required standards and
regulations.
1. Why was I not interviewed for the
Consultant post?
The Trust invited the top three Consultants to attend the interview. Any one below
the threshold was not invited.
2. When was the decision made not to interview me and by whom
The shortlisting decision was finalised by the Medical Director –
2015.

3. Why was there a change of decision to only interview 3 candidates?
The Trust had high calibre candidates and only one post was required, hence. If the
Trust has more than one vacancy, additional candidates are invited.
4. With redactions, who was interviewed and what were their person specific
qualifications.
The Trust is unable to provide this information as it falls under s40 of FOIA,
individual’s rights to privacy.
5. With redactions, what were the genders, race, and religious beliefs, if disclosed,
of the respective candidates interviewed?
The Trust is unable to provide this information as it falls under s40 of FOIA,
individual’s rights to privacy as it forms part of their application. Moreover,
considering the small number the individuals can be re-identified.
6. Prior to the decision to shortlist, were formal/informal references sought in writing,
per email or in discussion about me?
References were only requested for the candidates who were shortlisted for
interview.
