These camps are offered on the Florissant Valley, Forest Park and Wildwood campuses and are designed to give children the opportunity to explore areas of interest they might not get in school. Zombie Apocalypse camp is $199 for a full day of camp. All materials are included. In addition, each child in the program will receive a “Kids on Campus” T-shirt. Please indicate preferred size on the enrollment form. Is lunch included? Lunch is not included. Campers must bring their own non-perishable sack lunch. • There will be a structured 30-minute lunch break from 12 p.m.-12:30 p.m. (between morning and afternoon sessions). Students will be required to carry their lunches with them throughout the day. Students are encouraged to bring drinks. While there are several vending machines located throughout the campus, the cafeteria will be closed and there might not be time to get drinks. What if I need to withdraw my child? Will I receive a refund? Campers who register and must later withdraw must do so in writing and any refund given will be based upon the date of receipt of written withdrawal by the Continuing Education office. Because of the special nature of this program, full refunds will be permitted through June 17, 2016. Safety and program guidelines for youth classes All children under the age of 16, who are enrolled in programs through the St. Louis Community College Continuing Education office, must be accompanied to and signed-in at the beginning of each program session by a responsible party. In addition, a responsible party must also meet the participant at the end of the session and sign them out. Appropriate behavior is expected. Students may be disenrolled for misbehavior. Outside work may be required for some courses. Courses are not applicable toward degrees and certificates offered by the college. Whether it is a zombie apocalypse or an earthquake, you and your family need to be prepared. This camp is designed to teach students how to survive the worst disaster imaginable using a zombie apocalypse as the worst case scenario. Topics include • • • • • • • Food identification and water safety • Forgotten skills such as candle making • The impact of catastrophic events on individuals, families, societies, civilizations and the Earth itself • And so much more! Creating an emergency kit General first aid & CPR knowledge Emergency behavior Pandemics and global disasters Some history of global disasters Basic survival skills But this is summer camp so we can't be serious the whole time! We will also • • Create zombie art projects Watch emergency preparedness films • • Dress up like zombies And play games. Please note: Weapons and personal self-defense tactics will not be discussed.
