College in Northfield, Minnesota and a former Fulbright Scholar and Bosch Foundation

and served as an Assistant Attorney General for the state of Minnesota. Over the past
ten years, John has co-founded and worked with several start-up companies in the

Munich, Germany. John holds seven United States patents and several foreign patents.
Marty Carlson, CPO, FAAOP, Tamarack’s founder and past President, will focus on the
science, technology and education functions of the company. He will continue as
principal owner and board chairman. Mr. Carlson feels “…very fortunate to have found
Mr. Lampe, someone whose experience and abilities so closely match what Tamarack
needs to lead our expected growth into new products and new markets.” Carlson noted
that “The philosophy at Tamarack is that the physical challenges presented by
neuromuscular conditions are part of a continuum. We all have physical limits and
limitations. We all wish to be as functional and active as possible. Tamarack’s mission
‘…to improve and maximize human physical performance.’ is universal. For instance,
the same friction management technology that helps heal and avoid foot wounds for
people with Diabetes is helping elite athletes and weekend hikers avoid being stopped
by painful blisters. Mr. Lampe’s business priorities and philosophy are consistent with
those that have guided Tamarack in its first 18 years of operation.”
