A Texas Tech Police Officer investigated cruelty to non-livestock animals,
which occurred in the west patient parking lot. A non-student left a small dog
unattended inside a vehicle during extremely high temperatures. The dog was
removed from the vehicle and cared for until the owner was located. The
owner was released pending the filing of charges with the El Paso County
District Attorney’s office. See offense report # 10-115EP.
