Three components of program for
new courses in 2007:
– Faculty training in online course
delivery:
 Completion of identified training programs
 Faculty library, resource materials
– Experienced online instructors to
mentor new online instructors
– Development stipend

Initial goal: 9 new online courses in 2007

Results:
– 16 new online courses scheduled in Spring 2007
(including 10 1-unit courses)
– 28 new online courses or new instructors for added
sections of current online courses in development for
summer/fall 2007
– 8 online teaching mentors identified
– Online teaching library, training course options
developed
– 17 Chabot faculty in 4-week Teaching with Blackboard
training course right now
