Kent Wommack Biography Kent Wommack has worked for The Nature Conservancy (TNC) for 32 years. During that time, Kent has built and led three of the Conservancy’s most successful state and country programs -- in Maine, Australia and Canada. All of those programs became known for innovative, groundbreaking projects and fundraising campaigns that changed the scope and scale of conservation in those places. More recently he served as Managing Director of the Global Lands strategy team, which leads TNC’s efforts worldwide in sustainable agriculture, smart infrastructure, forests and climate, as well as their work with indigenous peoples. He is currently Senior Strategist for International Programs, where he is working with TNC’s 34 country programs to frame and deliver breakthrough conservation and fundraising projects as part of the Conservancy’s upcoming multi-billion dollar campaign. Kent is one of just nine Conservancy leaders featured in the book Nature’s Keepers, a business management profile of The Nature Conservancy’s first half century written by Bill Birchard. Outside the Conservancy, Kent is Board Vice President of the Elmina B. Sewall Foundation, a philanthropic foundation that donates $8 million annually to conservation and social impact non-profits in Maine. He is also a Board Director of the National Lime and Stone Company, a privately held natural resource company in his native state of Ohio. Kent received his BA from Colby College, and his MFS from the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies. He lives at the mouth of the Royal River in Yarmouth, Maine with his wife Gro Flatebo, a fellow alumnus of Yale FE&S.
