The only College of Urban Affairs in Ohio, Levin is home to nationally recognized faculty as well as The Urban Center, a collection of fee and contract-supported applied research programs with specializations in the fields of public management, nonprofit management, community planning and development, and economic development, and more. Our graduate programs prepare students for careers in the public, private, and nonprofit sectors. Dual Degree Programs The dual degree programs allow full-time students to earn two advanced degrees in four years, rather than the five years required of students completing each degree seperately. Students in these programs typically spend their first year in the College of Law, their second year in the College of Urban Affairs, and their third and fourth years between the two schools. The JD/ Master of Public Administration prepares students for careers in the public and nonprofit sectors as: Lawyers Public Administrators Policy Analysts Appointed or elected government officials The Master of Public Administration is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Public Affairs and Administration (NASPAA). The JD/Master of Urban Planning, Design and Development prepares students for careers in: Law firms Municipal, county, regional, and state planning agencies Economic development agencies Private sector planning firms Real estate development firms The planning program is fully accredited by the Planning Accreditation Board (PAB). The JD/Master of Arts in Environmental Studies is designed for students interested in pursuing careers in the environmental field from a law or policy perspective.
