Faculty Position: Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Full Professor - Thermal Systems

The School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Oklahoma State University is pleased to invite applications for a tenure-track faculty position in thermal systems at the Assistant, Associate or Full

Professor rank. Versatile candidates with interests in refrigeration, heat pumps and unitary equipment are sought. Candidates eager to collaborate on research in the areas of simulation of thermal systems, components, and buildings; ground-source heat pump systems; virtual sensors; and fault detection and diagnosis are preferred. With strong support from Oklahoma industry partners, a major investment has resulted in the development of a low-temperature psychrometric room facility. The successful candidate must have demonstrated potential for developing a strong externally funded research program and for excellent teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels. An earned Ph.D. in a field closely aligned to mechanical or aerospace engineering is required, and research experience beyond doctoral studies is desirable. Salary and other compensation are competitive with major research institutions. Required qualifications: Must hold an earned doctoral degree in a field closely aligned to mechanical or aerospace engineering from an institution of higher learning accredited by a regional accrediting agency, or have comparable professional experience. (Equivalencies and comparable professional experience shall be specified by the school.) The successful candidate must have demonstrated potential for developing a strong externally funded research program and for excellent teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
