I. Chinese Visa Information
Before You Go: To enter China, travelers must obtain a visa prior to arrival, and must have a passport
with at least six months' validity remaining. Effective November 12, 2014, U.S. citizens traveling to
China may apply for a ten-year multiple-entry visa. Check your U.S. passport before applying for a visa to
make sure that it has six months or more validity remaining. A multiple-entry visa is essential if you plan
to re-enter China, especially if you plan to visit either Hong Kong or Macau and return to
China. Visit the website of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China (http://www.chinaembassy.org/eng/visas/) for the most current visa information including the current visa application
form, a list of required supporting documents, and associated fees. The Chinese consulate closest to New
Haven is located in New York.

IFC Building Guest Check-in Process
Step 1: Register and present a valid proof of your identity at the lobby reception of the IFC building.
Step 2: After registration, get a temporary guest card and swipe your card at the security gate that
provides access to the Tower B elevators.
Step 3: Upon returning to the lobby, drop your temporary guest card into the card slot (at the first security
gate on your right hand side).
