ELECTRONIC DRAFTING
Catalog Description:
61 - Electronic Drafting
3 Units
Preparation of electrical and electronic drawings using standard graphical symbols currently utilized
in industry. Schematic, wiring, cable, interconnecting block and logic diagrams. Application of
electronic components, abbreviations and electronic terminology using Computer Aided Drafting
(CAD). Strongly recommended: Design Technology 52. 1.5 hours lecture, 4.5 hours laboratory.
Prerequisite Skills:
None
Expected Outcomes for Students:
Upon completion of the course the student should be able to:

discuss the purpose of applying electronic components, abbreviations and electronic
terminology;
