Project Status Update:
Doug Horner delivered the project status update.
1. District Wide Master Plans: Doug welcomed all to the special convocation day meeting
and talked about the importance of the committee especially with a view to the
Chancellor’s remarks regarding the possibility of the District going out for another bond
issue. The district is reviewing proposals from consultants that have responded to a RFP
to develop Educational Master Plans (EMPs) for both colleges. The EMPs will then drive
updates to the college’s Facility Master Plan and will prove invaluable to the build out of
the college.
2. Project Status Update: Doug went through the August 17th Committee Update sheet
line item by line item answering follow-up questions, providing clarifications, and noting
any concerns.
3. Rumor Control: Lingering rumor about BBQ near 405
4. Other Matters Initiated: Dale Wagoner has other pressing Thursday obligations that
conflict with this committee’s meeting schedule. Tom Clark was nominated and
approved to assume Dale’s co-chair role…big shoes to fill. Dale gave a report on the
non Measure B funded efforts to build a health simulation lab in 3113. Kudos to Dale,
Connie, and all who helped find the funding to make this happen.
