During the first semester at WIU, candidates must complete the Technology Competency Assessment, safety training and an Illinois/FBI fingerprint background investigation. At the end of the first semester at WIU, candidates are expected to be fully accepted to the teacher education program, which includes maintaining the 2.50 cumulative and major GPAs. A grade of “C” or better is required in courses. Not all courses are offered each semester which may delay completion of a program.
