By completing and submitting this form, you are applying for funding with the University of Utah’s
Department of Communication. Typically, funded Masters students are responsible for 3 classes per year,
and funded PhD students are responsible for 4 classes per year. Funding includes a stipend as well as a
tuition benefit. No final decision on funding can be made until the applicant has been accepted for
admission to the Graduate School. Three letters of recommendation are required to support this application.
Deadline for submitting a complete application for financial assistance is January 15.
Earlier submission is recommended.
