____ 1. By Wednesday April 25, 2012: Notify Hillery Oberle or Sarah Bridges of intent to submit TUES
proposal.
____ 2. Make sure you have access to the NSF FastLane system. When you start your application in
FastLane select Allow SRO to view and edit.
____ 3. Friday May 11, 2012 by 9 am: Submit draft Budget and Budget Justification for review.
____ 4. Wednesday May 16, 2012 by 9 am: Send any drafts of proposal components you would like RSP
to comment on or proofread.
____ 5. Thursday May 17, 2012: If applicable, all final sub-award materials to RSP from collaborating
institutions.
____ 6. Monday May 21, 2012 by 9 am: Final Budget and Budget Justification to RSP for internal review,
also send any additional drafts for comments or proofreading. Once your budget is approved by
RSP, circulate your Proposal Routing and Approval Form (PRAF).
____ 7. Wednesday May 23, 2012 by 9 am: All FINAL materials uploaded into Fastlane.
____ 8. Thursday May 24, 2012 by 9 am: Completed signed PRAF to RSP.
**Wednesday May 23 and Thursday May 24 – Be available to make any necessary changes prior to
submission**

__collaborators listed in alphabetical order and including current organizational affiliations
__thesis advisor and post-graduate sponsor – list all from last five years, including organizational
affiliations, and provide a total number of grad students advised and postdocs sponsored
__ Current and Pending support for PI, co-PIs and senior personnel (includes this submission and all
current and pending support from any source)
__ Budget (complete UNI internal budget template and get RSP approval prior to entering in FastLane)
__ Budget justification (3 page limit)
__ Facilities, Equipment and Other Resources
__ Supplemental Documents
__ Data Management Plan (2 page limit – refer to appropriate directorate guidelines)
__Postdoctoral Mentoring Plan (if applicable)
__Letters of organizational endorsement, commitment, collaboration as allowed by solicitation.
NSF does not accept letters of support.
