There will be a U-REaSON seminar event on this Tuesday, October 2nd, from 3:35pm to 4:35pm in room 211 of the Civil Engineering Building. Speaker for this week is Dr. Mohan Sridharan. Title: Towards Autonomy in Human-Robot Collaboration Abstract: The primary research interests of the Stochastic Estimation and Autonomous Robotics lab include machine learning, planning, computer vision and multiagent collaboration as applied to autonomous mobile robots. In collaboration with students and colleagues, I seek to develop algorithms that enable mobile robots to operate autonomously and collaborate effectively with humans in complex real-world domains. In this talk, I shall summarize our contributions towards achieving this objective, and describe open problems and future research plans. I shall also briefly illustrate the applicability of the underlying learning and inference algorithms to big data domains such as climate science and agricultural irrigation management. This talk is intended for a general audience! URL (research): http://www.cs.ttu.edu/~smohan/Research.html URL (publications): http://www.cs.ttu.edu/~smohan/Publications.html
