Chabot College Fall 2007 Course Outline for Music 11B Jazz Improvisation II Catalog Description: 11B - Jazz Improvisation II (May be repeated 3 times.) 2 units Exotic scales, altered chord construction, and development of modal and intervalic concepts used in avant garde jazz improvisation. Techniques used in composing and arranging for small ensembles. Prerequisite: MUSA 11A (completed with a grade of "C" or higher). 7 hours laboratory.
