Bliss, TX. He joined the US Army in 2013 after earning his Doctor of Musical Arts and Master of Music Degrees in euphonium performance from the University of North Texas under the guidance of Dr. Brian L. Bowman. Previously, he received his Bachelors of Music Degree in Music Education at the University of Southern Maine School of Music, where he began his college education at the early age of 16 and studied with Michael S. Milnarik. Patrick has been very active as a performer for the last several years. He was been a winner in the University of Southern Maine (2007) and University of North Texas (2011) Concerto Competitions, and has appeared at several festivals and conferences as a soloist and clinician throughout the United States. He has performed at the International Tuba Euphonium Conferences in Tucson, AZ (2010) and Bloomington, IN (2014), the Cosmopolitan Tuba Euphonium Workshop (2007-2010), and the Blast of Brass Workshop (2012) to name a few. Patrick has also had the pleasure of performing with the Lone Star Wind Orchestra, the Dallas Wind Symphony, the Allen Philharmonic Orchestra, and the El Paso Symphony Orchestra. Most recently, Patrick commissioned a new piece for euphonium and percussion titled “Ventures” by Howard J. Buss. He gave the world premiere performance in November, 2014, as a guest artist at New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, NM. In January, 2015, he was featured on the Military Recital at the US Army Band Tuba Euphonium Workshop at Ft. Myer, VA and also became a recipient of the Colonel Finley R. Hamilton Outstanding Military Musician Award. Patrick lives in El Paso, TX with his wife, Erin, and their two children, Liam and Norah.
