Highlights
Student Progress on the College-wide Learning Goals
As a result of being at Chabot, most students report learning communication skills and critical thinking and
thinking for themselves. In addition, the majority also show progress in the areas of global & cultural
involvement, civic responsibility, and the development of the whole person.
Between Fall 2013 and 2015 students reported slightly higher levels of progress in some communication and
critical thinking skills and slightly lower levels of progress in the other college-wide learning goals.
The Student Satisfaction Survey was conducted in October 2015 in a representative sample of eighty-one
on-campus course sections and was completed by 1,667 students (56% full time and 44% part time).
