Exit Level TAKS will test: • ELA - English Language Arts • MATHEMATICS - Algebra I/Geometry • SCIENCE - Biology/Integrated Physics & Chemistry • SOCIAL STUDIES - U.S. History/World History/World Geography. It will take about six weeks to receive your scores. Students will select a testing location when registering, check Exit Level TAKS RETEST, and indicate Texas Tech High School Diploma Program. Students will receive an Admission Letter in the mail prior to testing date. Please scan, fax, or mail a copy of your online registration form to TTUISD (contact information below). Full-time TTUISD students may request a TTUISD Student ID at www.ttuisd.ttu.edu; enter “student ID form” in the search box’ STUDENTS OUTSIDE OF TEXAS Contact the TTUISD testing coordinator at 806-834-0999, at least six weeks prior to test dates, to receive more information about the process and fees for taking these assessments outside of Texas. You will need to locate an approved proctor, and send paperwork and fees to TTUISD at least six weeks prior to the testing date. Photo ID will be required when you report for testing. SAT or ACT Texas Tech University High School CEEB code: (444-357) Students planning to attend college should register to take the SAT and/or ACT. The SAT website is sat.collegeboard.org The ACT website is www.actstudent.org. Online registration is available for each test. You must provide photo identification to register, and at the testing location. Each website, as well as local bookstores, will contain preparation resources. For more information about preparing for college, go to www.collegeforalltexans.com TAKS XL (exit level grade 11) – Preparation & Resources TAKS XL consists of four parts: English/Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies. Students must meet a score of 2100 on each portion. If any portion of the TAKS is not passed, you will be required to retest only that portion of the exam. The Texas Education Agency website has study guides, and released TAKS tests for practice. The website for the TEA homepage is http://www.tea.state.tx.us/ TAKS PRACTICE TESTS The following TEA website will give you previous TAKS exams (ELA, Math, Science, Social Studies) that have been released for study purposes that you can print and use for practice; online interactive practice tests are also available.
