Fall 2016 PACE Classes
Chabot PACE Degree & Transfer Program for Working Adults
Classes meet August 17-December 20, 2016 unless otherwise specified
Only PACE students may enroll in these classes until 7/14/16;
after this date, any student may enroll in any remaining open spaces.
The PACE Degree & Transfer Program for Working Adults is a comprehensive, multi-semester Learning Community
designed to help working adults pursue an AA degree and transfer to CSU. PACE is designed to meet the needs of
students who work 9am-5pm jobs and so require convenient evening, Saturday, and online courses.
The PACE Program fulfills both AA degree requirements at Chabot, and CSU General Education transfer requirements.
PACE is a “college within a college” which helps build a sense of community among students and instructors.
Students take all their General Education classes together, and some majors are included.
PACE offers students support, flexibility, and networking opportunities, as well as specialized services from an academic counselor.
PACE offers clear pathways toward certain academic goals, and is an excellent destination for students starting or returning to college,
and who wish to pursue careers in Social Science (Psychology, Sociology, etc.), Education, or Business.
Most PACE students earn an AA degree and then transfer to complete their Bachelor of Arts degree.
Our primary transfer destination is CSU East Bay’s PACE Program, which offers majors in Human Development, Liberal Studies,
and a Business Minor/option. Other Bay Area transfer colleges include, among others, Holy Names University and St. Mary’s.
Applicants must follow procedures identified at “How to apply for PACE” at www.chabotcollege.edu/PACE .
For more information email PACE@chabotcollege.edu.

NEW STUDENTS: *Classes marked with an * (in CRN column) are recommended for students new to college.

requires about 9 hours of work per week (3 hours of class time plus about 6 hours of study, although this
differs from class to class). Take a class load that is realistic for you and your life!
If there are any changes to this schedule after printing, CLASS-Web have the most current info.
REGISTER via CLASS-Web at www.chabotcollege.edu or in-person at A&R (Bldg. 700).
If you are a PACE Student and get a “Major Restriction” message when you try to register for PACE classes,
contact pace@chabotcollege.edu
