Mechanical Engineering Graduate Students Association (MEGA) Mechanical Engineering Graduate Students Association, or MEGA in short, is the only student body that is exclusively for the graduate students at the Department of Mechanical Engineering. Its purpose is to create an environment for the graduate students where they can get together, interact and exchange ideas including but not limited to their research, life, hobbies, problems, etc. The main objective of the organization is to work proactively towards breaking down the barriers among graduate students and between the graduate student body in our department and the faculty members. In order to accomplish this task, MEGA relentlessly come up with events for our department members, including the graduate students (though most of the time, undergraduates are welcomed as well), faculty members and staff. The events held under the roof of the organization can be both social and academic events. More detailed information about the organization could be found from the Rules & Regulations of the association. Every graduate student at our Department is considered to be a MEGA member. However, in order to vote, it is expected from the student to attend at least half of the meetings held by the organization in the previous semester of that voting session, in order to have enough understanding of the structure and working mechanism of the organization. Other than that, participation to the organization is completely voluntary. In order to participate, one can directly attend to any of the meetings or use the contact information below to consult/ask any questions they may have.
