Environmental Studies, The New School, New York, NY (2010-present)
Collaborate with faculty to refine interdisciplinary, undergraduate Environmental Studies
curriculum and develop evaluation rubrics for internal use and reporting to the Middle
States Commission on Higher Education (review currently underway). The BA/BS
program has two optional concentrations: Urban Ecosystems; and Environment and Society,
and Public Policy, and students take courses in several departments at the university.

Food Studies, Hostos Community College, Bronx, NY (Contracted; 2013-2015)
Retained by President’s and Dean’s offices at Hostos Community College (part of the
City University of New York) to design, develop an interdisciplinary associate’s degree
program in food studies. Worked with interdisciplinary college faculty to ensure program
relevance for college’s students. Program is the first of its kind in the U.S. and is tailored
for the College’s primarily low-income, Latino and African American student body.

Urban Agriculture, Farm School NYC/Just Food, New York, NY (2010-present)
Collaborate with volunteer committee to develop/refine curriculum for communitybased urban agriculture certificate program.

Sustainable Agriculture and Food Systems, UC Davis (2005-2010)
Collaborated (as student member) on curriculum development committee charged with
developing first undergraduate major in sustainable agriculture at a U.S. Land Grant
institution. Program has concentrations in food and society, agriculture and ecology, and
economics and policies. Program development included national research to identify
competencies needed for post-graduation employment.
