Firas takes every opportunity to explain things in an easy to understand manner (for me). I like that his tests are challenging, yet straightforward. Firas isn't trying to trick anyone; he just wants to know we've learned. read the notes, ask him questions Quality presentation of class material. Effective use of time. Overall this was a very good course. The style of teaching was excellent. I liked that examples were worked out in class. At times I found it difficult to use the book as a reference, since we only covered parts of chapters. Maybe it would be helpful to tell students which sections to use as reference. RASSOUL-AGHA,FIRAS: List two things about this instructor that were effective for your learning, or make constructive suggestions for improvement. Presentation of example problems. Quizzes to cover previous material. Firas is a great instructor! Not only does he convey the material well, but he also seems to have a genuine interest in the success of his students. He speaks and writes clearly, and makes sure that the class understands the concepts. I always appreciated the examples that he worked out in class. He also showed some nice "tricks" for solving certain types of problems. He makes the class interesting and worth while. Thanks! 1 of 1 1/3/08 12:13 PM
