SHIFT 2 1513 TTPD 1636 TTPD 1920 TTPD 1951 TTPD An Officer investigated a traffic accident, without injuries, involving a Texas Tech University vehicle which occurred in the 1400 block of Flint Avenue. See state accident report #16-0777. An Officer investigated a traffic accident, without injuries, involving a Citibus which occurred in the 1700 block of Indiana Avenue. See state accident report #16-0779. An Officer investigated burglary of a habitation, which occurred in Weymouth Residence Hall. A Mac Book Air computer was stolen from an unsecured room. See offense report #16-0780. An Officer documented damaged property, which occurred at the Biology Lecture Hall bike rack. A bike lock had been partially cut. See incident report #16-0781. SHIFT 3 2337 TTPD 2358 TTPD An Officer charged and released a student for evading arrest or detention, which occurred at the east bicycle racks of Coleman Residence Hall following the investigation of a suspicious person near the bicycle racks. The student fled the scene after being detained by officers. It was determined that the student attempted to steal a bicycle by partially cutting the cable lock to a secured bicycle. The student has been identified. See offense report # 16-0782. An Officer investigated theft of a bicycle and cut bicycle lock, which occurred at the north bicycle rack at Clement Residence Hall. The bicycle was recovered by the student victim after he observed the unknown suspect riding the bicycle away from the bicycle rack. The suspect after being chased by the victim abandoned the bicycle in the 3000 block of 19th Street and fled the scene. See offense report # 16-0783. An unknown individual lit a paper name tag on fire causing damage to the exterior of the door. An unknown individual also lit a paper poster on fire which was attached to a wall causing damage to the wall. See offense report # 16-0784. An Officer issued a non-student a Lubbock County citation for possession of drug paraphernalia, which occurred in the 2300 block of Marsha Sharp following a traffic stop.
