An officer responded to the Student Wellness building for a student who
was having thought of harming himself. The student was evaluated by the
Lubbock Crisis Team and was voluntarily committed to Sunrise Canyon.
The student was transported by Emergency Medical Services. See incident

An officer arrested a student for possession of marijuana, which occurred
at Knapp Residence Hall. The student was transported to the Lubbock
County Jail. The student was then charged with prohibited substances and
items in correctional facility. See offense report #16-0172.
An officer investigated theft, which occurred at the Student Recreation
Center. A wallet was taken from a bench by the basketball courts. See
offense report #16-0173.
An officer investigated theft, which occurred at Sam’s Place West. A
wallet was taken from a table. See offense report #16-0174.
An officer investigated duty on striking an unattended vehicle, which
occurred in the Student Recreation Center parking lot. See offense report
#16-0175.

An officer investigated an assault, which occurred at Sam’s West. An
unknown male grabbed a student’s head. See offense report # 16-0176.
An officer arrested two students for public intoxication, which occurred in
the lobby of Weymouth Residence Hall. Both students were transported to
the Lubbock County Jail. See offense report # 16-0177.
An officer charged and released a student for driving while intoxicated,
possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and resisting
arrest or detention, which occurred in the Z4P parking lot following the
investigation of a suspicious vehicle. The student attempted to leave the
area and struck an unoccupied parked vehicle in the Z4-P parking lot after
being approached by Police Officers. The student passed out inside the
vehicle and was transported to the University Medical Center Emergency
Room by Emergency Medical Services for treatment. The vehicle was left
legally parked in the Z4P parking lot. See offense report # 16-0178 and
state accident report # 16-0179.
