Math1090 Textbook Information Business Algebra, 2nd edition, published by Kendall Hunt, ISBN 9781465240989 For Math1090, we will be using an e-book. You need to go to http://www.kendallhunt.com/macarthur/ to purchase the book. At that link, you'll see two different options--one is for the e-book only and the other option is for the print version only. * The print version of this book is also at the reserve desk in the Marriott Library for you to check out for 3-hour increments. * Note: We have not ordered this book through the campus store. If there is some compelling reason that you absolutely must order through them, it is your responsibility to ensure you order the correct book, but I'll be happy to assist you with that. The cost of the book will be about 33% more to order through them. In most cases, this is not necessary and if you have some initial problems with your funding source because we are not going through the bookstore, please feel free to contact me directly to help you get the most accurate information and best deal possible. * Additional Note: If you find an older printing of this second edition book, with a different ISBN number, it will not be the same as this book. It will mostly be the same, but the older printing has many more errors in it and some problems are not included in the older printings of the second edition book. If you choose to use an older printing of the second edition book, it will be fully your responsibility to find the differences between the two books. Your instructor will not bear this burden for you. * e-book Expiration Information: Please note that the default expiration for the e-book is six months, which is longer than a semester, so in general, this is plenty of time for students to use the book for the course they are taking. However, if you need to retake this class for some reason, and you already purchased the e-book, it will likely expire during the semester you are retaking the course. If this happens, please contact webmaster@kendallhunt.com directly and let them know you need your expiration date extended for your e-book. They will be happy to help you. If there are any further questions, don't hesitate to contact the course coordinator for help. Kelly MacArthur Math1090 Course Coordinator macarthur@math.utah.edu
