New Product and Service Innovation (3). This course offers perspectives and frameworks on how new product and service innovation can generate growth and economic value in organizations. Issues are addressed pertaining to the stages of idea generation, screening, and selection, business development, market testing and commercialization, as well as the design of strategies and practices that lead to organizational success. PRQ: MKTG 505 or consent of department. Rationale: MBA students have been taking this course as a special topics course, MKTG 660. The course has been well received. Given the need in our economy to stimulate and encourage innovation, this course meets both student and societal needs. Note regarding duplication: A review of the graduate catalog indicated the content of this course is not being taught by any other department.
