OM&IS Operations Management & Information Systems Instructor Registration Dr. Andrew Setterstrom is an Assistant Professor of Information Systems at NIU’s College of Business where he teaches ERP courses at both the undergraduate and graduate level. He is a certified TERP10 instructor and successfully taught NIU’s first SAP TERP10 workshop in summer 2015. Registration is now open at cob.niu.edu/omis/sap. A non-refundable deposit of $100 payable to “OM&IS Department, NIU” is required in order to hold your seat for the SAP TERP10 Certification Workshop. The remaining balance of $995 is due on Friday, May 6, 2016. If request for cancellation is received at least five (5) business days before the class starts, a full refund will be given. A 10% administrative fee will be charged for all cancellations. If a student cancels the workshop less than five (5) business days before the start date or is a “no-show” for the workshop, no refund will be given. Prerequisites for the Workshop NIU students or alumni must successfully complete either OMIS 455 or OMIS 643 with a grade of C or higher, or have a minimum of one year SAP ERP related experience prior to enrolling in the workshop. The SAP Certification is titled TERP10, Business Process Integration with SAP ERP (SAP ERP 6.0 EhP 6). The workshop will provide intensive training to prepare you to become a SAP Purpose and Benefit The SAP TERP 10 Certification workshop will enable students to see how a modern enterprise system functions. It covers business functions in accounting, finance, human resources, procurement, manufacturing, sales and distribution, warehouse management, enterprise asset management, and project management, as well as the basics of SAP ERP, NetWeaver, and SAP Business Warehouse. After completing this workshop, you will: • Possess an enhanced understanding of concepts and navigation in the SAP system. • Be able to explain how the fundamental business processes interact with ERP in the areas of sales order management, material and production planning, procurement, inventory management, project management, plant maintenance, human capital management, financial accounting, and management accounting. • Be able to identify the key master data, which must be maintained to execute each business process. • Be able to identify the key integration points between the different business disciplines supporting each business process cycle. • Be ready to take the SAP TERP10 certification exam upon completion of the workshop.
